sheez, this is embarrassing, I'd almost ask you to not compare this with the reference photo, haha... he doesn't look even remotely similar, I totally screwed up at the facial expression

And I couldn't get rid of the dark area on the left xP

This is a wonderful sketch. The proportions, the facial expression and the shading are really well done. I like the loose, sketchy style.
It would be even better, if you added the shadow on the hair and put a bit gloss in his eyes. I think, the wrinkles between his eyebrows are not correct - but it's nothing to worry too much about.
